Pam is an Assistant  Brownie Guider.    It is immensely satisfying to be a leader in Girlguiding - not only because we can help girls and young women achieve their full potential in the world, but we also have many opportunities for our own  personal development.  One of my greatest pleasures is to attend weekend courses at this wonderful house,  Netherurd, Girlguiding Scotland's Training and Activity Centre.   Girlguiding has also enabled me to attain the GNAS Archery Leader award - a totally new sport to me and one I would probably never have  pursued otherwise.

I am also very fond of boats and it was great fun to combine these two interests by  taking the Brownies for a cruise on St Magdalene, the Linlithgow Union Canal Society trip boat.  Tour guide and driver for the day were, respectively,  Ann and Iain Street.

I enjoy hillwalking - I'm slow (overweight with dodgy knees) but I get there.  I once dragged my family to the top of Ben Lomond so that we have all (including the dog) bagged a munro! You can download my Excel template for a route card here. (right click, save target as).

I like gadgets - we bought our first home computer over 20 years ago, our first mobile phone over ten years ago and I take my Garmin EMap GPS nearly everywhere  (I bought mine from GPS Warehouse and had terrific pre- and post-sales service.)
